Find out what it covers, how the 24, 48, and 72-hour versions stack up, and whether it's worth it for your trip.
Everything in the pass
What's included
Unlimited transport, trains included
All public transport in one package - metro, trams, buses and funiculars - plus the CP trains out to Sintra and Cascais. Lisbon's metro to the airport is included too.
Belém's big-hitters
Free entry covers the Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower (individual tickets around €12 each), two of the most visited sights in the city - reason enough for a Belém day within the pass window.
Sintra is discounted, not free
The Sintra palaces, Pena Palace included, are discounted rather than covered - book those separately through Parques de Sintra and reserve a timed slot in peak season.
What's not included
The Oceanário de Lisboa and some private attractions are discount-only, not free. Add up the entries you'd actually use before buying.
Digital, activates on first use
The Lisboa Card is digital and bought online, activating on first use rather than at purchase, so you can buy ahead. Book timed slots for busy sights like the Jerónimos Monastery in advance.

Common questions
FAQs
Is the Lisboa Card worth it?
The Lisboa Card is worth it when you make use of the public transport, as well as with 3 or more paid sights on consecutive days. A 72-hour card covers unlimited buses, trams, and the Metro, plus free entry to the Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower - roughly €24 in admissions before a single tram ride. It's not ideal if you're mostly wandering the free viewpoints and neighbourhoods, or if you qualify for age-based discounts.
Does the Lisboa Card include the train to Sintra?
The Lisboa Card includes the CP train to Sintra and to Cascais, one of its stronger perks - the return Sintra fare alone is around €5. It doesn't cover the Sintra palaces themselves, though; Pena Palace and the others are discounted, not free, so book those separately through Parques de Sintra and reserve a timed slot in peak season.
How long should I get the Lisboa Card for?
Get the Lisboa Card for the number of days where you'll do a lot of sightseeing, not your whole trip. A 48 or 72-hour card can accommodate a Belém plus a Sintra day trip and central museums; a 24-hour card only pays off if you pack 3 or 4 paid sights and heavy transport into a single day. Get the shortest option that covers your busy days, and rely on individual tickets where you're taking it easier.
